Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Yara Gamal (“Coaching with Yara”). This policy explains what personal data is collected when you use this site, why it is collected, and the choices you have.

What we collect and why

Forms

Both forms on this site are built with Tally. Tally BV (Ghent, Belgium) hosts the forms and stores responses on servers within the European Union, and processes submissions on our behalf. See Tally’s Privacy Notice.

Contact form. The contact page embeds a Tally form (id LZBZO2). It asks for your name, email address, what’s on your mind (a single-select reason), and a free-text message. We use these details to respond to you. Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries sent to us.

Workshop signup form. The Arabic workshop landing page (أم أهدأ… بيت أهدأ / Calmer Mom, Calmer House) uses a separate Tally form. It asks for your name and WhatsApp number, your children’s ages, optionally what you are struggling with, and — optionally — your email address.

  • Why we collect it: so Yara can contact you on WhatsApp to arrange your free introductory call, and so we understand your situation before that call. Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • Your email address is optional. Leaving the field blank does not affect your signup or your free call. If you do give it, we use it only for the purposes you agreed to when you submitted the form (see Email updates below), and as a fallback way to reach you if WhatsApp fails.

Booking a session

Session booking is handled by Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects the details you provide (name, email, scheduling preferences) under Calendly’s Privacy Notice. We receive these details to prepare for and conduct your session.

Analytics

To understand how the site is used, we use Umami — a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information; data stays on our own server.

Fonts

All fonts used on this site (Inter, Fraunces, Caveat, IBM Plex Mono, Cairo, Tajawal, and Lemonada) are self-hosted and served from this site’s own domain. No font request is sent to any third party, and no third party receives your IP address when pages load.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitLab Pages. Like most web hosts, GitLab may log technical request data (such as IP addresses) for security and operational purposes. See GitLab’s Privacy Statement.

Email updates

If you tick the optional consent box on the signup form, we may email you occasional updates — new workshop dates, availability, and parenting content from Yara.

  • Lawful basis: your consent. The box is optional and is never pre-ticked. If you do not tick it, we will not send you marketing email.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you through the contact form. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails we must send you about a workshop you have actually booked.
  • We keep a minimal record of your unsubscribe so that we do not email you again by mistake.

No advertising or ad tracking

We never sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not run advertising campaigns through this website, and no visitor or customer data from this site is uploaded to, shared with, or used to build audiences on any advertising platform. This site carries no ad-platform tracking pixels.

Coaching confidentiality

Everything discussed in coaching sessions is confidential. Session notes are kept private and are never shared with third parties, in line with the ICF Code of Ethics.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies. Our analytics tool, Umami, is cookieless. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask for corrections or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Object to direct marketing at any time, with no reason needed
  • Receive a copy of data you gave us in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place
  • Complain to your national data protection authority

Data retention

  • Signup form responses (name, WhatsApp number, children’s ages, message, optional email) are kept while we are in contact with you about the workshop. If you do not join a workshop, we delete them within 24 months of our last contact. Responses are deleted from Tally at the same time.
  • Marketing email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. After that we keep only the minimal record needed to honour that request.
  • Booking and coaching records are kept only as long as needed to provide coaching services or comply with legal obligations, then deleted.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
